Roles & Responsibilities

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to department planning, meetings, and curriculum development

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

• Support students' overall academic and personal development

• Participate in school life, including parents' evenings and extracurricular activities where applicable

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with an English specialism ECTs encouraged to apply
