We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic English department in Billericay. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring students to achieve their full potential in English and will contribute to our vision of academic excellence.

About the English Teacher role:

As an English Teacher, you will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a love of literature, language, and creative writing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Differentiate teaching to meet diverse learner needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Support students in developing literacy skills across the curriculum
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
  • Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring it remains dynamic and relevant
  • Uphold and promote the school's values, policies, and expectations
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and be a qualified English Teacher
  • Have a passion for English and a genuine desire to inspire students
