  • Teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, up to and including A Level.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including debates, discussions, drama, and technology, to bring English to life for students.
  • Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
  • Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our English curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
  • Foster a love of English in students, encouraging them to develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in English education.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as debating clubs and literary societies.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in English Language and English Literature.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching English to young men and a commitment to student success.
