About the Role:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating a wide range of texts and genres.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a variety of teaching methods and resources, including creative writing, drama, and digital media.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, participate in departmental meetings, and lead extracurricular activities such as debating societies and creative writing clubs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong English subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching English to A-Level, with a track record of student success.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
