About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is not only well-versed in the subject matter but also enthusiastic about making English literature and language studies accessible and enjoyable for students of varying abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
  • Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make English literature and language studies relevant and captivating for students.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  • A positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for literature and language, promoting respectful behaviour among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Teaching certification in English.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
