Overview

Academics are currently recruiting for a English Teacher to work at an excellent Comprehensive school in the centre of Cardiff. You will be joining a team of creative, supportive and dynamic staff to teach Years 7-11. The school itself was recently included in a list of top 20 Secondary schools in Wales and the English department is already established and has developed an excellent reputation, but now need an additional Teacher to join the team.

This is a fulltime role, due to start in October 2025 and a strong chance of the role extending into a permanent position. This vacancy would also be an excellent opportunity for both Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) as well as more experienced teachers. The school is focused on providing inclusive education for all children and ensuring that every child has access to the equal opportunities. In addition to this, they also offer a broad and balanced curriculum in both KS3 and KS4, placing significant importance on individual growth alongside academic achievement.

Responsibilities
