Job summary

Bright Star Talent Limited is seeking an English Teacher for a long-term supply placement at a secondary school in Burton upon Trent. You will teach English Language and Literature to KS3- KS5, prepare GCSE and A‑Level work, and collaborate with the English department to ensure continuity throughout the placement.

The role requires QTS or an equivalent qualification and an enhanced DBS processed within the last 12 months. Travel to Burton upon Trent is expected.

We are looking for an English Teacher with experience teaching English Language and Literature across KS3, KS4 and KS5, including supporting pupils with GCSE and A level exam preparation.

Essential requirements: You must hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, and an enhanced DBS processed within the last 12 months.

The role:

• Adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.

• An enhanced DBS processed within the last 12 months.


• Strong English subject knowledge and experience teaching secondary pupils.


• Confident classroom management and an inclusive teaching approach.


• Availability to commit to a long term placement.


• Ability to travel to Burton upon Trent.
