Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a committed and resilient educator to join our specialist team, delivering engaging and supportive English lessons to students who require additional emotional and behavioral support.
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH difficulties.
Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to engage in learning.
Differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and emotional needs.
Provide pastoral support and use positive behavior management strategies to promote emotional resilience and self-confidence.
Build strong relationships with students, families, and external professionals to support holistic development.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to review meetings and reports.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with students with SEMH needs or in alternative provisions is highly desirable.
A patient, compassionate, and adaptable teaching style.
Able to teach another subject such as humanities.
Strong classroom and behavior management skills, with an emphasis on positive reinforcement.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and safeguarding best practices.
