Key Responsibilities for the English Teacher in Havering:

Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in English Language and Literature

Teach Key Stage 3 and 4, with opportunities for KS5 depending on experience

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

Contribute to curriculum development and literacy-focused initiatives

Participate in department and whole-school planning and events

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching standards
