English Teacher, Portishead

We are actively recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher with UK recognised QTS based in Portishead.

An Good OFSTED graded secondary school in Portishead are looking for a full time English teacher to join their school in November 2026. This is a long term placement and as a newly appointed teacher you will be fully supported by the department head and a number of key staff; As part of this role you will teach up to GCSE level and be responsible for participating in team planning.

Daily rate of pay will start at £168 and can increase to £232.57 , for more experienced teachers with UK recognised Qualified Teaching Status.

UK qualified teacher status (QTS) is essential for this role.

Job responsibilities:

• Planning/Teaching all lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive environment and managing behaviour within the classroom
• Providing leadership for the classroom assistant to provide the best support for all pupils
