Secondary School near Berkhamstead is looking for an English Teacher

Full time

Teaching English to KS3 - KS4 (KS5 if able)

This role is to start from after Easter or September start

The school is seeking a fully qualified English teacher with experience within a secondary school setting.

A large Ofsted rated Good secondary school located in the Berkhamstead area with a very friendly feel and excellent facilities.

They offer a challenging and broad curriculum including extending their learning regularly to provide opportunities outside of the classroom. They are seeking someone who will share their ethos and contribute to their continued success and raising levels of attainment. There is an excellent support network and senior leadership team to encourage you and help develop or build on your career.

The role:

With this role, you will be working as a full-time English Teacher delivering lessons across KS3 / KS4 (KS5 if able). You will hold responsibilities for the class preparations and plans, where you will be expected to use your own creativity and experience to attract and attain the students' interest. You will then be responsible for marking work in a timely manner and assessing students' progress.

Requirements for the position:

• QTS/ NQT/ PGCE/ QTLS/ Overseas Trained Teacher to UK equivalent
• A genuine commitment to raising attainment levels
• Energetic and positive attitude
• Be educated to degree level
• Current DBS registered on the update system or willing to apply to obtain one
