Job summary

Academics Ltd in Mexborough is seeking an English Teacher to work on a flexible, temporary basis across a range of secondary schools. You will deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 and may cover other subjects where needed.

This role suits both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking ongoing, adaptable opportunities with full support from our education consultants.

English Teacher - Mexborough - Education and Training

Are you a passionate English Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities across Mexborough?

At Academics, we act as an agency and are recruiting a English Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible, ongoing English basis across a large variety of secondary schools throughout Mexborough.

This role will provide a platform for you to share your passion for English with secondary students at a variety of schools across while also offering you the opportunity to undertake general secondary cover to share your passion for other subjects where applicable.

Location: Mexborough

Pay: £140-£195 per day (Dependent on experience, training, qualifications, paid via PAYE - No umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

The Role:

While working as an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 & KS4, driving pupils to build their literary knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills, while building the confidence to communicate their ideas effectively.

The role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECT) who are looking for flexible, temporary, ongoing work. There may also be opportunities to undertake general secondary cover across a variety of schools.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching English, or relevant secondary teaching experience
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• A passion for education and training
