Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Matlock to recruit an English Teacher on a full-time maternity cover starting after October half term. The role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 including GCSE English, planning lessons and assessing progress.

You will hold QTS with an English specialism, have experience delivering GCSE English, strong classroom management and excellent communication and organisational skills.

Start Date: After October Half Term

Salary: £174 - £240 per day

The school is looking to appoint an English Teacher on a full-time maternity cover basis, starting after October half term. The successful English Teacher will teach students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, including GCSE English, and will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress and maintain strong classroom management.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism
• Experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience delivering GCSE English
• Strong classroom management
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
