Greenwich Waldorf School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of English to teach 14 to 18-year olds in our Upper School. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
We are an all-through, independent Steiner Waldorf school located on the edge of Greenwich Park and Blackheath, with a curriculum that supports children from age 3 to 18. Key responsibilities for this role
Teaching the NZSC (Equivalency of International Baccalaureate. It’s a continual assessment programme that is the equivalent of GCSE and A level).
Teaching GCSE English Language.
To maintain a full record of attendance, effort and attainment of all students as well as records of lessons taught and homework set.
To ensure good supervision and discipline, through efficient planning and delivery.
To work with parents in partnership to enhance the learning experience.
To recognise and celebrate achievement in English and to promote an awareness of the importance of English in the community.
To work as one of a team in curriculum development initiatives within English.
To contribute to other areas by negotiation.
Contribute to the ethos of this Waldorf Steiner school.
