Responsibilities
  • Teach English up to KS4 / GCSE Level
  • Plan, prepare, and teach appropriate lessons within your subject area, accessible to all ability levels
  • Support colleagues within your department as needed
  • Create a positive classroom environment, liaising with teaching assistants and support staff to develop effective relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Maintain discipline using various classroom management techniques aligned with the school's behaviour policy
  • Monitor pupil progress and record their development
  • Attend meetings, parents' evenings, and training days as required, contributing to all areas to the best of your ability
Requirements
  • Relevant Undergraduate Degree
  • Qualification leading to UK QTS or equivalent; NQTs and overseas qualified teachers are welcome
  • Enhanced DBS check and full references
  • Passion for teaching your subject
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Motivation to achieve and add value to the school
  • Proven classroom management skills
