£31,650 to £49,083 (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

From September 2025

The School and Role

An East Riding secondary school seeks to appoint an English Teacher to work in a full-time, fixed-term role from September 2025. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for teaching English to pupils in KS3 and KS4 classes. This fixed-term contract will run from September 25 until at least January 26. It may be possible that the successful temporary teacher will be offered a permanent role beyond the fixed-term contract.

This large secondary academy is based in the East Riding of Yorkshire approximately 7 miles away from Hull city centre. This academy is part of a successful multi-academy trust and benefits from excellent leadership and a supportive working culture that places the well-being of staff at the forefront of practice.

The desired English Teacher will have:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status
  2. Experience of teaching English to KS3 and KS4 in a UK-based secondary school setting.
  3. A passion for the progress of secondary-aged pupils
  4. An ability to work as part of a team
