Are you a dedicated English Teacher who thrives on guiding students through the power of language and literature? Do you want to teach in a dynamic and culturally rich city like Hull, shaping young minds from early secondary through to A-level?

Academics is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to work across secondary schools in the Hull area. We're looking for professionals who are passionate about English Language and Literature and who can deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote a lifelong love of reading, writing, and analysis.

What We're Looking For:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent) with a specialism in English.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching English across Key Stages 3, 4, and A-level.
  • A creative and thoughtful approach to lesson planning that brings texts to life and prepares students for success in GCSE and A-level assessments.
  • A strong command of classroom management and the ability to create an inclusive and motivating learning environment.
  • A commitment to nurturing analytical and communication skills, and a passion for exploring a diverse literary canon-from Shakespeare to modern authors.
  • An educator who encourages original thinking and builds student confidence through both academic and creative expression.
