Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an English Teacher in North Solihull for a full-time, long-term temporary supply role with potential to become permanent. You will primarily teach Years 9–11 (KS4) with possible KS5 coverage, taking full responsibility for planning, teaching, marking and assessment.

Salary: £150 - £200 per day

Are you confident taking on a full teaching role, with the flexibility to cover Key Stage 5 / KS5 where required?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in North Solihull who are looking to appoint an English Teacher. The school is seeking a committed and adaptable teacher who can engage pupils and contribute positively to the wider school environment.

The school is looking to take on an English Teacher for a full-time, long-term temporary supply position, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. The successful English Teacher will primarily teach students in Years 9 - 11 across Key Stage 4 / KS4, with potential requirements to cover Key Stage 5 / KS5, taking full responsibility for planning, teaching, marking and assessment.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Confidence teaching or covering Key Stage 5 / KS5 where required
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong planning, marking and assessment skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
