Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Milton Keynes. This English Teacher role is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified individual with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment. The position is offered on a Temp to Perm basis, with the possibility of a permanent contract following a successful probation period.

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring they develop a strong understanding of English literature and language. You will be working alongside a supportive and dynamic team of professionals, contributing to the overall academic achievement and well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering the English Teacher curriculum to students in accordance with the school's academic policies and procedures.
• Planning and preparing high-quality lessons that engage students and foster a love for English.
• Assessing student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
• Supporting students with their individual learning needs, providing appropriate interventions where necessary.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
• Maintaining effective communication with parents, guardians, and staff to ensure students' progress is tracked and supported.

Key Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
• Proven UK Teaching Experience in English, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A passion for teaching English and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse classroom effectively.
