English Lead - Home Tuition Team (SEND Service) - Maternity Cover

Location: East London

Start Date: 22nd April 2025

Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover (Confirmed for Summer and Autumn terms, with likely extension)

Salary: Up to MPS 6 - Daily rate up to £248

SANZA Teaching Agency is on the lookout for a dedicated English Lead Teacher to join an outstanding Home Tuition Team within a specialist SEND Service in East London. This role is perfect for an experienced English teacher looking to take on subject leadership, curriculum development, and quality assurance while delivering engaging lessons to students who cannot attend mainstream school due to medical, mental health, or complex SEND needs.

Your Role:

1. Plan and deliver engaging, individualised English lessons for students receiving home tuition or alternative provision.
2. Lead on curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance for English teaching across the Home Tuition Team.
3. Provide expert guidance and training to tutors delivering English instruction.
4. Work closely with schools to support student reintegration and provide necessary training.
5. Attend review meetings, contribute to essential reports, and liaise with families, schools, and external professionals.
6. Occasionally work evenings and explore potential contracts outside the borough.

What We're Looking For:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in English teaching
2. Experience working with students facing medical, mental health, or complex SEND challenges
3. Proven leadership experience in curriculum planning and quality assurance
4. KS 3 & 4 & PEX Experience
