Salary: £33,075 to £50,471 - Depending on Experience
About the Role:
An ambitious and well-regarded secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 and contribute to a thriving English department with a strong track record of achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Encourage a love for literature, reading, and effective communication
• Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and school events
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and continuously improve teaching and learning
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in English Literature and Language
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons to mixed-ability groups
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• A reflective, adaptable, and committed approach to teaching
