We now have a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher to join our new Options Autism School - Skylarks School in Epsom, Surrey.

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the natural world and develop critical thinking skills through engaging and hands-on science instruction.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Plan, deliver, and teach individual students or small groups, in accordance with the School’s Curriculum framework and related policies.
  2. Monitor, record, and report on student progress.
  3. Contribute to and help implement developments related to the School Development Plan.
  4. Promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational, and moral development of students.
  5. Develop and implement learning environments and programs tailored to individual student needs to ensure appropriate progression.
  6. Coordinate teaching, development, assessment, recording, and reporting of subjects and areas of learning across key stages as agreed with the Headteacher.
  7. Devise, implement, and review individual education plans, behavior plans, and other relevant plans in collaboration with staff.
  8. Organize classroom resources, student groupings, and displays to create a stimulating learning environment.
  9. Plan to ensure student safety, in line with risk assessments, both on and off-site.
  10. Ensure Learning Support Assistants, Tutors, Instructors, and care staff are well briefed and able to produce effective teaching aids.
Qualifications Required
  • UK QTS or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 & 4.

Our new Options Autism School will cater to pupils aged 11–19 with ASC and Complex Needs, with a capacity for 60 pupils.

Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties for over 16 years.
