Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic qualified English teacher looking for a new challenge in Leicester?


This is a great opportunity for a full-time position starting asap until summer and possibly longer. The school I am recruiting for are looking for an English teacher who would like to join a successful team who encourage students to make a positive contribution to their lessons. They are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and well qualified teacher to deliver high quality lessons whilst successfully engaging students. The candidate should be committed to maintaining an exciting learning environment and being able to motivate students is essential.


This school is easily accessible by public transport. They offer a broad and balanced curriculum mixed with a variety of enrichment activities. They want to see learners excel and develop in their areas of interest. They have high expectations for their students and focus on developing not only academic skill, but personal values to help ensure well rounded growth.


As an English teacher, the school will expect the following:

  1. Teach English to KS3 & KS4 level.
  2. Have a detailed knowledge of the curriculum.
  3. Have high standards of communication and the ability to work as a team.
  4. Assess, mark and plan lessons.
  5. Assess achievements of pupils.

To be considered for this position, you will need to have the following:

  1. UK QTS
  2. Relevant teaching experience across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is beneficial)
  3. An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
  4. Excellent Communication skills and commitment to working as part of a team.
