Job summary

Remedy Education in Barnet is seeking an English Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' experience teaching English literature and Language to Key Stages 3 and 4. A willingness to teach KS5 is advantageous but not essential. The role is on a long-term contract with a competitive daily rate.

You will hold QTS or an equivalent qualification and have a solid knowledge of the UK English curriculum. The department offers support and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience teaching English literature and Language to KS3/KS4.
• KS5 experience advantageous but not essential.
• Sound knowledge of the UK English curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that inspire students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the English department to raise attainment.

The Suitable candidate

• Should Posses QTS or equivalent qualification (PGCE, M.A, B.A, Cert.Ed.)
• Have sound Knowledge of the UK English Curriculum.
• Have a passion for the English Subject
• The ability to plan and deliver inspirational, encouraging and engaging lessons
• Strong classroom management
• To be Proactive and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching English
• Always be willing to develop themselves in order to positively impact the lives of Students.
