I am working on behalf of an excellent secondary school located in the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea, seeking a teacher to join the English department and lead classes across all key stages. The role involves planning and marking your own lessons, working proactively with other department members, teaching all key stages, and preparing students for GCSE and A Level exams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive team. The position is full-time and suitable for ECTs looking to complete their qualifications and develop their experience and pedagogy, or for experienced teachers. The school welcomes subject specialists with UK secondary school experience and a strong knowledge of the curriculum.
The ideal candidate is positive, confident, possesses excellent curriculum knowledge, and has a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge. You will collaborate with colleagues in the English department and support staff, and must be able to deliver clearly communicated, well-planned, and differentiated lessons.
