English Teacher – Bromley – September Start
Pertemps Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Bromley from September. This role is available on a temporary or permanent basis, offering flexibility for the right candidate. Contract: Full-Time, Temporary or Permanent
Salary: M1 – UPS3 (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons in English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Inspire a love of reading and writing while helping students develop essential literacy skills
• Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners of all abilities
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and take part in departmental planning
• Play an active role in school life, including staff meetings, CPD, and school events

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4; KS5 is a bonus but not essential)
• Has excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills
• Is creative, adaptable, and committed to supporting student progress and wellbeing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• ECTs are welcome to apply and will be supported by an experienced department
