We are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant secondary school in South Glos seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team. This role is to start as soon as possible and is a full-time role that will continue up until the end of the academic year, and will become permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You will be joining a well-established English department with excellent resources and support from experienced colleagues. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, develop their literacy skills, and foster a love of English literature and language.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to achieve their best.
  • Collaborate with the English department and contribute to departmental planning and initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
  • QTS and a degree in English or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary level, with confidence in both KS3 and KS4.
  • A commitment to engaging students and a passion for the subject.
  • Ability to create tailored lessons to support varying learning needs and abilities.
  • Capable of working effectively with students, staff, and parents.
