English Teacher Vacancy

£150 - £220 per day dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for English Teachers to work on a part time or full time basis at a range of Secondary Schools within the South Birmingham area. The ideal candidate will have successfully completed their PGCE and be in receipt of a teacher reference number (TRN). Long term placements will include planning, marking and additional teacher responsibilities.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  1. Hold a UK QTS
  2. Have relevant, recent experience teaching English in a UK school (secondary mainstream or SEN)
  3. Bachelors Degree in English (Language or Literature) & successfully completed PGCE or Schools Direct
  4. Have experience planning and marking
  5. Have a strong and competent understanding of the English national curriculum
  6. Be able to confidently teach both English Language and English Literature
  7. Have experience teaching and supporting children with special educational needs

The Job Outlined:

  1. Plan and confidently deliver a range of English lessons to meet the individual needs of each class
  2. Engage learners with a range of lessons adapting them to appeal to each class
  3. Assess pupil's learning and progress on a regular basis, providing timely and informative feedback
  4. Collaborate with colleagues within the department and communicate effectively
  5. Regularly communicate with parents to discuss pupils progress, outcomes and any safeguarding concerns
  6. Promote pupils positive health, safety and wellbeing
