Are you a passionate and dedicated English Secondary Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of learners? Smile Education are seeking a talented individual to join a large and thriving English department at well-established secondary school in Wolverhampton rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school is senior, with children from Year 9 to Year 11 and are part of their own federation, the role would be maternity cover, with opportunities in the other schools following the 1 year contract. With a strong culture of collaboration and a wealth of resources at your fingertips, you’ll be fully supported in delivering engaging and impactful lessons. What Makes You a Great Fit for This Role:

• Must have a (Qualified Teacher Status) QTS or have a degree in English.
• An Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive environment to begin your teaching journey
• Passion for English, teaching and helping young people succeed.
• Experience working in a classroom or tutoring environment is desirable.
• Ability to work with students on a 1:1, group, and class basis.
• A full enhanced DBS check (can be processed through Smile Education).
• A determined, hard – working attitude!

About the Role:

• As an English Teacher, you will prepare lessons and learning materials.
• You will use your own passion to inspire the younger generation.
• You will focus on helping students who need extra support with their work, ensuring they grasp essential concepts to improve their academic progress, exam results, and coursework.
• Providing feedback to students and parents, through consultation evenings, phone calls or written communication as appropriate.
• Attending departmental and school meetings, either during or after the school day, as requested.
