Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant school in Bicester. The successful candidate will inspire students across [KS3/KS4/KS5], fostering a love for literature, language, and creative expression. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills. This role is for March 2025.

Duties as an English Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Teach and assess students across [KS3/KS4/KS5], preparing them for GCSE/A-Level exams.
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and a love for literature.
  • Support students in developing strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as book clubs and school productions.

Ideal English Teacher:

  • A degree in English, Literature, or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English at [Secondary/A-Level] level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for literature, language, and student development as an English Teacher.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
