English Lecturer to join our team and deliver high-quality teaching across a range of further education programmes.
- Actual Salary: £26,656.06 - £34,750.99 per annum
- Working Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 8:30-17.00)
About The Role
As an English Lecturer, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to curriculum development. You’ll work closely with colleagues to ensure learners receive the support they need to succeed in GCSE English and beyond.
Essential Criteria
We’re seeking someone who can bring enthusiasm, subject expertise, and a learner-centred approach. You must have:
- A relevant degree or Level 3 qualification and a teaching qualification (or be working towards one).
- Experience in a lecturing or training role within FE or HE.
- Knowledge of innovative teaching and learning techniques.
- Experience in curriculum development and using ICT as a teaching tool.
- A strong understanding of education and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in English across FE programmes.
- Develop engaging learning materials and assess student work effectively.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, course leadership, and quality assurance.
- Support student recruitment, guidance, and progression.
- Participate in departmental planning, CPD, and performance review processes.
