A community-focused further education college is seeking a part-time Lecturer for English to join their Humanities team. The role entails teaching A Level and degree-level courses while supporting learners' development. Applicants should possess a relevant degree and a master's, with the option to pursue a teaching qualification if necessary. Due to internal progression we have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join our Humanities team on a part-time basis, working 18.5 hours per week from January 2026.
You will teach a range of courses including A Level English language/Literature and on some of our degree programmes. We are committed to expanding the learning opportunities for our learners and growing our provision to better meet the needs for our local communities. This is a rare opportunity to join our highly skilled and supportive team.
Please note that your point on the salary scale will be determined based on both experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments will not normally be made at point 12 or above (£35,831 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.

We have a thriving humanities team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength delivering a wide range of programmes including A-level and BA English and History degree.
