Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach GCSE English/Functional Skills English to learners from Entry Level to Level 2 within the college.
• Develop lesson plans to cover the full duration of each lesson.
• Deliver lessons using various teaching styles depending on the content.
• Create an engaging and lively classroom atmosphere.
• Instruct students on the structure and content of the English language.
• Teach spelling, meanings of words, and rules of grammar and sentence construction.
• Pronounce words correctly and teach students to think critically about literature, poetry, media reports, advertisements, and news reports.

Skills & Experience:

• Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS check within the last 3 months or on the update service.
• A UK-recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in English or related field.
• Up-to-date knowledge of teaching techniques and English instruction topics.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Experience delivering English lessons.
