North East Surrey College of Technology in Epsom, Surrey is seeking an experienced English lecturer to teach GCSE English Language and Functional Skills to 16-18-year-old students and adult learners.

You will use Google Classroom and other educational software to monitor progress, set targets and intervene to improve outcomes. The role is permanent, full-time, with additional benefits including a welcome bonus and retention payment where eligible.

Qualifications

• Relevant recent teaching experience of English GCSE and Functional Skills to young people.
• A-Level English or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

Salary: £27,074 to £37,594 (actual salary)

• Teach Functional Skills English to 16-18-year-old students


• Be able to teach GCSE and Functional Skills English to adult students including those on apprenticeship frameworks


• Be confident in the use of Google Classroom and other educational software


• Understand how well your students are performing and act to help them improve through target setting, review and intervention


• Contribute and deliver the assessment plan and practice of the department
