Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism.
• Ability to teach ‘good or outstanding’ lessons.
• Effective classroom management.
• Knowledge of current education legislation, Ofsted framework and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Model the highest level of teaching and learning in your own classroom and lead the improvement of others.
• Accelerate improvement and raise standards in the English subject area.
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons and promote student engagement in extra-curricular activities.
• Analyse performance data to ensure students receive targeted support to achieve their best.
• Lead data collection and analysis to support staff in monitoring progress and evaluating group performance against targets.
