We are seeking a linguist passionate about translating from English to Traditional Chinese for the Taiwanese market, with strong organizational skills and experience with translation technologies.

The successful candidate will join an international, diverse team of linguists. You should be tech-savvy, able to work independently, understand priorities, and adapt quickly.

The role involves supporting the team with translation, terminology management, training neural machine translation engines, and post-editing machine-translated content.

Tasks

• Translating content from English into Traditional Chinese
• Post-editing machine-translated documentation from English into Traditional Chinese
• Training neural machine translation engines to improve output
• Researching terminology and maintaining terminology databases
• Collaborating closely with other translation team members
• Linguistic testing of translated software
• Ensuring quality assurance of published documentation

Requirements

• Native-level mastery of the target language
• Excellent grammar and fluent writing skills
• Translation qualification and at least two years of experience
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and be agile
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
• Focus on quality
• Tech-savviness and quick learning ability
• Experience with CAT tools and machine translation, including training and post-editing
