Job description

Schools across East London are seeking talented English Graduate Academic Mentors to inspire a love of literature, language, and learning through engaging enrichment opportunities. In this role, you will gain great satisfaction in helping develop understanding of English and Literacy, including creative and descriptive writing.

As an English Graduate Academic Mentor, you will:

  1. Deliver interventions tailored to varying ability levels, including GCSE and A-Level
  2. Liaise with schools, teachers, social workers, and educational psychologists, making referrals where appropriate
  3. Gain experience in a secondary setting — an excellent opportunity for teacher training applications
  4. Identify gaps in student learning and adapt support accordingly
