Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: £32,178 - £49,725 per annum (pro rata, dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Start Date: 26 August 2025

As a GCSE English Teacher, you will play a key role in motivating and supporting students to achieve academic success. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver dynamic and engaging GCSE English lessons to post-16 learners
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and college expectations
  • Track student progress and provide constructive feedback and support
  • Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and enrichment activities
Candidate Requirements
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, QTLS or equivalent)
  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • Proven experience teaching GCSE English, ideally in a post-16 or secondary education setting
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
