English Functional Skills Tutor

ROLE PURPOSE

Our Client is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to join their educational team. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the personal development of learners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Deliver inspiring lessons to raise learners expectations and aspirations, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning.
2. Tailor both accredited and non-accredited programmes to the needs and interests of the learners.
3. Develop personalised learning plans that equip learners with essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours for positive progression.
4. Create a supportive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
5. Assess learners progress, provide constructive feedback and guide them towards development goals.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE grades 9 to 4, A to C, or equivalent).
2. Qualification in the specialist subject area of Functional Skills.
3. Proven track record of effective teaching within the subject specialism.
4. Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent.
5. Ability to secure a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
