We’re partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Wolverhampton that is looking to welcome a passionate and motivated English Teacher (ECT) to their team this September 2025. Permanent, full-time position starting in September 2025
Teach KS3 and KS4 English with potential for KS5 as you grow into the role
Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Support pupils of all abilities to develop confidence and a love for English
Work collaboratively with an experienced English department and wider staff team
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Applications welcomed from ECTs completing training in 2025
A degree in English or a closely related subject (minimum 2:1 preferred)
Sound knowledge of the secondary English curriculum
A reflective practitioner who is open to learning and feedback
Strong classroom presence, resilience, and excellent communication skills
Supportive and experienced induction mentor for ECTs
Regular CPD opportunities and clear career progression routes

Salary: £31,650 – £43,607 (based on MPS and experience)
