Debden Park High School is seeking an exceptional Curriculum Leader in English to drive continued excellence in English and English Literature from KS3 through KS5. The successful candidate will join an ambitious English, Film and Media Team committed to outstanding student outcomes.

The role focuses on delivering consistently exceptional lessons, leading curriculum development, and supporting English across the Trust.

• Help lead the development of the English curriculum, refining core and procedural knowledge across teaching English.

A rare opportunity has arisen for us to appoint an exceptional classroompractitioner as a Curriculum Leader in English to help drive our ambition to gobeyond obtaining consistently exceptional outcomes in English and EnglishLiterature across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The successful candidate will bejoining a fully staffed, experienced and ambitious English, Film and MediaTeam, who are dedicated to achieving the very best for our students.

The first and most significant aspect of the role will be in teachingconsistently exceptional lessons to ensure students make exceptional progress,from KS3 to KS5, and this is the first priority for any teacher and leader inthe school, from the Headteacher to a trainee teacher. The successful candidatewill also help lead the development of our curriculum, refining the core andprocedural knowledge in each aspect of teaching English. This work will supportthe teaching of English across the Trust. The English Team work collaborativelyto ensure the very best teaching across every classroom, and the idealcandidate will support the Director and Deputy Directors of English in ensuringthis culture continues to flourish. The role will include supporting the Teamwith honing and perfecting their craft, because at Debden it is an expectationfor every teacher, no matter how experienced or effective, to continually seekto improve their practice.
