This tutor role involves working with children who may have additional needs or are looked after. You will provide educational sessions face-to-face with children at their homes or in a local area (e.g., library). The location will vary depending on the needs of the pupil but will be pre-agreed prior to commencement of the tuition.

What are we looking for in a tutor?

  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Able to plan and deliver core and cross-curricular engaging sessions.
  • Applying skills to get pupils' education back up to speed.
  • Managing and implementing different behaviour strategies.
  • Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and providing feedback, which can be done via assessments.
  • Desirable – SEN experience

To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of your skills and experience.
