The Role
You’ll support students across KS3 and KS4 in English, focusing on reading comprehension, writing skills, exam preparation, and building confidence in literacy. Working both 1:1 and in small groups, you’ll tailor sessions to meet learners’ needs—whether they’re struggling with basic grammar or preparing for their GCSEs.
You’ll also assist the English department in creating resources, tracking progress, and maintaining a focused classroom environment. This role is hands-on, rewarding, and a great way to develop your subject knowledge and communication skills.

You’re articulate, patient, and confident engaging with students of different abilities. Any previous experience—tutoring, mentoring, or supporting young people—is a real bonus, but the right attitude and work ethic matter most.
