A leading school based in London is looking for an Engineering Workshop Technician to join their dynamic team. This role involves supporting educational outcomes by maintaining engineering machinery and providing hands-on learning opportunities for students interested in STEM subjects. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Workshop Technician to join the Engineering teaching team at Brook 6th Form & Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a technician who is passionate about enabling young people to achieve. The role is to support teachers and students in the engineering workshop environment, and includes the confident use and maintenance of a wide range of engineering machinery.
Brook 6th Form & Academy is housed in an impressive, relatively new building, in Barking and Dagenham. The geographical location in which the school is located is rapidly changing, making it an exciting time to join. The school is located opposite, the soon to be opened, Eastbrook Film studio complex. There are excellent transport links, with Dagenham East tube station a short walk away.
Working across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, this is an opportunity for a hard-working committed professional to work with students who are passionate about STEM and Media subjects. You will be working in a supportive, nurturing culture, that sets high expectations of educational outcomes, whilst supporting students to fulfil their academic potential, and achieve their goal of a STEM or Media destination, progressing to university or an apprenticeship.

Scale 5: £16,258
Subject to experience. For an exceptional candidate, there is the potential for additional responsibilities.
