As the Engineering Workshop Manager, you will manage a multi-skilled team within our Workshop Department. This includes Fabricators/Welders, Fitters, Machinists, Sheet Metal workers, and Engineering Stores Controllers. The primary goal is to effectively plan, coordinate, and continuously improve the Workshop Department.

Reporting to the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for developing a highly skilled and motivated department that meets the needs of both the department and the wider company.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading and managing the Workshop Department efficiently in terms of timelines, costs, quality, and delivery.
2. Scheduling and overseeing the manufacturing of jobs issued from the Design Department.
3. Managing and supporting Team Leaders across different engineering functions, providing leadership and motivation.
4. Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and fostering a strong safety culture.
5. Overseeing the Engineering Stores Department to ensure alignment and that requirements are met.
6. Motivating and engaging your team through effective communication, performance reviews, and technical development.

The Person:

We seek a proactive Engineering Workshop Manager with solid knowledge of heavy engineering disciplines. Experience in a similar environment is preferred, with the ability to apply knowledge across various applications.

The candidate must communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and be committed to safety and results-driven teamwork. Excellent communication skills and a strong emphasis on Health and Safety are essential.
