Job summary

Demob Job Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking an Engineering Workshop Manager to lead a skilled workshop team and directly drive day-to-day engineering operations. You will oversee workloads, plan projects to schedule, budget and quality standards, while improving processes and ensuring safety compliance.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires mentoring engineers and delivering results. Ex-military engineers are encouraged, with experience spanning REME, Royal Navy or RAF, and a proactive

Job description

Our client, an innovative engineering business based in Milton Keynes, is looking to recruit an Engineering Workshop Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation developing cutting edge engineering technology for demanding industrial applications.

This is a hands on leadership role where you will lead from the front, managing a highly skilled engineering team whilst remaining actively involved in the day to day engineering operation. You'll play a key role in shaping workshop activities, improving engineering processes and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Applications are particularly encouraged from ex-military engineers with leadership experience gained within the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), Royal Navy or Royal Air Force, although all candidates with the relevant engineering management experience will be considered.

Engineering Workshop Manager Responsibilities:

Engineering Workshop Manager Requirements:

• Hold a relevant engineering qualification with proven experience of managing engineering teams.
• Previous hands on engineering experience and an appreciation and understanding of mechanical engineering.
• Experience planning engineering activities and managing projects.
• Able to coach, mentor and develop engineering teams.
• A proactive, hands on approach with the ability to lead by example.

Engineering Workshop Manager Benefits:

• Salary is £60,000 per annum.
• Monday to Friday 9am 6pm with 1 hour for lunch.
• Travel expenses to and from work are reimbursed.
