Job summary

CDM Recruitment is recruiting a Labourer in Sunderland for an established engineering operation. The role involves general labouring and housekeeping in the workshop, assisting engineers, moving materials, and helping with day-to-day tasks in a busy facility.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30, with pay £12.71 per hour PAYE. Overtime is limited and paid at x1.5. This short-term contract offers 2–4 weeks of work with days only.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience in general labouring or workshop duties.
• FLT Counterbalance experience/certification desirable.
• A proactive attitude and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labouring and housekeeping in the engineering workshop.
• Assist engineers and workshop staff with day-to-day tasks.
• Move and handle materials around the workshop.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
