    The Job Mission

    This role sits within a nuclear alliance focused on technical learning and workforce excellence. You’ll help deliver and develop training for operational safety and engineering readiness. Your future team is committed to embedding expertise in a highly regulated environment.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Undertake Fleet Certified Instructor (FCI) training within 2 years of appointment
  2. Develop and deliver safety case-related training material and lesson plans
  3. Instruct in classroom, simulator, and practical environments for up to 20 participants
  4. Act as course coordinator, managing training sessions and feedback processes
  5. Provide coaching and mentoring to accelerate staff learning and development
  6. Act as subject matter expert in Mechanical, Electrical, or I&C systems
  7. Ensure operational experience and company values are reflected in all training delivery
  8. Maintain active relationships with SMEs, line managers, and external contractors

Minimum qualifications and experience include:

  1. HNC or higher qualification in a technical engineering subject
  2. Experience in Mechanical, Electrical or I&C engineering or maintenance
  3. Understanding of safety cases and related technical documentation
  4. Excellent communication and mentoring skills within technical teams
  5. Comfortable delivering training across diverse environments and group sizes
  6. Willingness to travel for off-site training sessions as required
  7. Practical knowledge of training methods and instructional delivery
  8. Experience in the nuclear or power generation sector
  9. Recognised teaching or training qualification
  10. Knowledge of plant simulator-based instruction
  11. Familiarity with modern learning media and e-learning tools
  12. Understanding of nuclear plant operations and systems
