Job summary

Hales Group Ltd is recruiting an Engineering Trainer for a well-established manufacturing organisation in Beccles, Suffolk. The role moves experienced engineers into a coaching and mentoring position within an apprenticeship academy, delivering technical training and supporting learners toward successful careers.

You'll work to help apprentices progress, develop resources, and maintain records, with a Monday to Friday pattern, 36.25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Engineering background within Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Toolmaking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for developing and supporting others.
• Good organisational and IT skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and undertake further professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering training to apprentice learners.
• Coach, mentor and support apprentices throughout their programmes.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
• Conduct reviews and assessments.
• Develop and update training resources.
• Promote learner wellbeing, engagement and safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.
• Support quality assurance and compliance activities.
• Participate in careers events and STEM initiatives.
