Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Training Officer to support engineering apprentices in the North West. The role involves delivering high-quality teaching, assessing progress, mentoring learners and coordinating with employers to plan off-the-job training.

You will carry out learner reviews, prepare schemes of work and ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards and safeguarding policies. This permanent, on-site position offers development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organisation and mentoring skills are essential.
• Experience supporting apprentices or learners in engineering/training environment.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and Functional Skills.
• Assessor qualification desirable; teaching or IQA experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging engineering teaching, workshops and one-to-one support in-centre and in the workplace.
• Support learners from initial assessment through gateway to EPA.
• Plan and deliver schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources.
